Bone Densitometry

Bone Densitometry services are offered on the campus of Tyrone Regional Health Network through the radiology department.

Bone densitometry (DEXA) is a noninvasive type of x-ray that is used to measure bone mineral density. It is the established standard for measuring bone mineral density. It is most often performed on the lower spine and hips. It is most often used to diagnose and monitor osteoporosis.
