Michael Halter, D.O., Board Certified Family Medicine physician now provides services at Pinecroft Medical Center. Dr. Halter’s office hours at Pinecroft are in addition to his office hours at the Tyrone Rural Health Center.
Rachel Mock, PA-C has joined Tyrone Regional Health Network (TRHN). Ms. Mock now provides primary care services for adults and children age 12 and over at Pinecroft Medical Center and for adults and children of all ages at the Tyrone Rural Health Center.
Tyrone Regional Health Network/Tyrone Hospital is participating in the 2019 Hospital & Health System Association (HAP) Donate Life Challenge. The HAP Donate Life Hospital Challenge encourages Pennsylvania hospitals to increase organ donation awareness and encourage people to saves lives by becoming organ donors. The challenge takes place January 1, 2019 to April 30, 2019.

Employees at the Moshannon Valley Correctional Center (MVCC) donated teddy bears to Tyrone Hospital to support the hospital’s pediatric patients. Tyrone Hospital will distribute the teddy bears to children who receive care in the emergency department, while supplies last.

The Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary held their annual Christmas Tea at Tyrone Hospital. The Christmas Tea has been a long holiday tradition of the Auxiliary. Members of the Auxiliary prepare and serve a variety of complimentary sweet and savory treats for members of the community and Tyrone Regional Health Network family to enjoy. The Auxiliary’s Christmas Tea is one way the Auxiliary contributes to the holiday atmosphere and cheer at Tyrone Hospital. In addition, they provide a decorated Christmas tree each year for the hospital’s main lobby. They also provide evergreen wreaths to adorn the hospital’s exterior.

Interior trees bearing angels honoring or remembering loved ones or organizations were illuminated during the ceremony.
