Auxiliary Donates Salt Spreader

The Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary has donated a BOSS VBX 8000 salt spreader to the maintenance department at Tyrone Hospital.  The new spreader will reduce cost and also create greater efficiency in treating the parking lots on the Tyrone Regional Health Network campus during periods of winter ice and snow.

Salt can now be purchased at bulk rates for lower cost. Additionally, the bulk salt can be loaded and spread by machine versus by hand  allowing maintenance staff to treat the surfaces of parking areas on the hospital campus more quickly and efficiently since less manpower is needed.
