Kennita Burns – Johnson, D.O., breast surgeon and general surgeon who serves as the Medical Director of Tyrone Regional Health Network’s Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute attended the American Society of Breast Surgeons Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. The meeting brought together leaders in the field of breast surgery and provided attendees with the latest research, advancements in surgical techniques, and treatment strategies.
One of the special features of the Tyrone Regional Health Network(TRHN)/Tyrone Hospital campus is the walking trails that loop through the wooded areas on the hospital grounds. Recently, Pastor Randy Zitterbart and the congregation from Hillside Community Church in Tyrone made improvements to the trail as a community service project.

Tyrone Hospital officials announced that Beth Roland, RN, clinical charge of the medical-surgical/ICU units at Tyrone Hospital nurse on the Tyrone Hospital medical/surgical unit is the recipient of Tyrone Hospital’s Spirit of Nursing Award for 2018. Each year the hospital’s nursing staff nominates one of their fellow nurses to receive the award.
