Daily Herald Supports Cardiology Services at Tyrone Hospital

Tyrone’s Daily Herald newspaper made a donation of $210.00 to support cardiology services at Tyrone Hospital.

Funds donated were generated through the Daily Herald’s Community Sponsorship Program, Help us Help Our Neighbor, designed to support local organizations and bring awareness to special causes, charities, events and holidays.   Through this program, the Daily Herald runs fifteen special pages throughout the year, with each page dedicated to supporting a particular community organization. Area businesses show their support by signing on as sponsors of the page. A portion of the proceeds from sponsorships are donated to a particular organization.  The February Community Sponsorship Page in 2018 and 2019 focused on heart related information in recognition of February as American Heart Month with funds donated to Tyrone Hospital to support cardiology services.

Cardiology services at Tyrone Hospital are provided by board certified heart specialists from Cardiology Associates of Altoona. Office appointments are available at Tyrone Hospital with Michael J. Larkin, DO, Hany F. Shanoudy, MD, Gorgi Kozeski, DO, and Michelle Stoudt, DO, FACC.

In addition to the cardiology office hours at Tyrone, many of the frequently needed heart diagnostic services are also conveniently available at Tyrone Hospital including EKG, echocardiograms, cardiac MRI, exercise stress testing, Holter monitor testing, event monitoring, peripheral vascular studies and pacemaker insertion and inpatient consultations.
