Michael Halter, D.O., Board Certified Family Medicine physician now provides services at Pinecroft Medical Center. Dr. Halter’s office hours at Pinecroft are in addition to his office hours at the Tyrone Rural Health Center.
At Pinecroft Medical Center, Dr. Halter joins Jerome DeJulia, M.D., Internal Medicine, Fawzia Haque, M.D., Family Medicine, Bobbi Oshall, CRNP and Rachel Mock, PA-C in providing primary care services.
Dr. Halter is a well established and experienced primary care physician who has been in practice for more than twenty-nine years. He has served the local area and been a member of the Tyrone Hospital medical staff during that time.
Dr. Halter is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and rotating internships at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Philadelphia. His undergraduate studies were completed at the Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with distinction.
Dr. Halter joined the Tyrone Rural Health Center (formerly Tyrone Medical Associates) in 2001.
During his years at Tyrone Dr. Halter has served in various leadership roles including past Chief of Medical Services, past Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee, past Medical Director of the Respiratory Therapy Department, past Chairman of the Utilization Review Committee and past member of the CEO Search Committee.
Dr. Halter is a member of the America Academy of Family Medicine.
