Kenneth K. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.O.G, gynecologist, has joined the Tyrone Regional Health Network (TRHN) Medical Staff. Dr. Lee now has office hours at the Tyrone Rural Health Center located on the TRHN campus at 221 Hospital Drive, Suite 6 in Tyrone, PA. He performs surgery at Tyrone Hospital.
Dr. Lee provides non-surgical and surgical gynecology care to women in all stages of life. Services offered include exams, diagnostics, tests, procedures, reproductive health care and surgery.
Dr. Lee is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed both his pre-medical education and medical school at Yonsei University in Seoul Korea. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Dr. Lee is well known for his expertise in minimally invasive surgery. He was one of the first gynecologists in the U.S. who pioneered advanced Laparoscopic surgery. He first performed laparoscopic surgery in 1991. Since 1998 he has been a preceptor surgeon working with the Ethicon Endo-Surgery Institute of America to teach other gynecologists laparoscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Lee has performed over 1,500 laparoscopic hysterectomies. Almost all hysterectomies he performs are done through laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery, avoiding surgery that involves major incisions. Other gynecological procedures he performs are also done using the least invasive surgical techniques.
Prior to joining TRHN, Dr. Lee provided services in the Huntingdon area and was affiliated with J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital.
