Kendra Daughenbaugh, RN, BSN has been promoted to the position of Manager of Surgical Services at Tyrone Hospital.
As Manager of Surgical Services, Mrs. Daughenbaugh is responsibley for all management duties associated with surgical services including the operating room and recovery room and supervision of all clinical and non-clinical staff in these areas.
Mrs. Daughenbaugh is a graduate of Penn State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has more than eighteen years of nursing experience. She joined Tyrone Hospital in 2005. During her years at Tyrone Hospital she has worked in most of the nursing units within the hospital including the short procedure unit, the former pain clinic, medical surgical unit, ICCU, telemetry, emergency department and the operating room. She found a home in the hospital’s operating room six years ago where she has also served as relief operating room supervisor for the past four years. Prior to joining Tyrone she worked in an endocrinologist’s office and in acute care and long term care settings.
Mrs. Daughenbaugh received special recognition in 2012 as the recipient of Tyrone Hospital’s Spirit of Nursing Award. The award is granted to one nurse each year who is nominated by their peers for outstanding nursing performance.
