Her residency training at the East End Health Alliance (Southampton Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center and Stony Brook University Hospital) on Long Island in New York, included general surgical care and breast surgery ranging from services provided in a community hospital setting to a level 1 trauma facility. She also has specialized training in laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgical techniques.
