Dr. Howells training and experience includes unique competencies in the treatment of the entire spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat disease including chronic sinusitis, head and neck cancer, voice disorders, and ear and throat infections.
Subsequent to graduating summa cum laude from Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, in 1992, Dr. Howells earned his Medical Doctorate from West Virginia University School of Medicine, Morgantown, WV, in 1996. He completed his general surgery internship in 1997 and his Residency at the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, West Virginia University in 2001.
Dr. Howells is a member of Pennsylvania Medical Society, Blair County Medical Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He has earned board certification as a Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology and has been selected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Howells resides in Hollidaysburg, PA with his wife Stephanie and their three sons. He enjoys cycling, skiing and a variety of outdoor activities with his family.
