Community members are invited to attend a free educational program, Understanding the Opioid Crisis. The program is co-sponsored by Tyrone Area School District, Blair County Drug and Alcohol Partnerships and Tyrone Regional Health Network.
Aleisha Albertson, Assistant Director of Blair County Drug and Alcohol Partnerships will discuss the disease of addiction, how it progresses and the recovery process. Judy Rosser, Executive Director of the Blair County Drug and Alcohol Partnerships will provide information on the local opioid crisis. A Rise for Recovery volunteer will share their personal story of addiction and their journey to recovery.
The program is free and open to the public and will be held Monday November 13th 7 pm at Tyrone Area Middle School, in the Large Group Instruction Room at 1001 Clay Avenue in Tyrone PA.
